The New York Jets recently bolstered their defensive line via trade with Harrison Phillips being the marquee piece.
The landed Phillips from the Minnesota Vikings along with a 2027 seventh-round pick. In exchange for Phillips and a 2027 seventh-rounder, New York gave up sixth-round picks in 2026 and 2027 to Minnesota.
The deal seems like a no-brainer for the Jets, but New York head coach Aaron Glenn said it does in more ways than one.
Glenn complimented Phillips’ talents but noted his character as well.
“First off, I’ll say he’s one of us. His mentality, the character, on & off the field. He’s a damn good run stopper. Everything about him fits who we are,” Glenn said.
