DAYTONA BEACH — William Byron, Ryan Blaney and Christopher Bell are the cover athletes for the upcoming NASCAR 25 video game, actress Monica Palumbo announced ahead of the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Friday, Aug. 23.
NASCAR 25, set to be released on Oct. 14, will be the first NASCAR video game on home consoles since NASCAR 21: Ignition, which was released Oct. 28, 2021. Pre-orders will open in mid-September.
“It’s really special. That’s how I got started, through gaming, and then iRacing down the road,” Byron said at the unveiling on a stage in the Daytona International Speedway infield. “I don’t think as a kid, I would have ever dreamed I’d be on the cover of a video game, so this is a very, very kind of out-of-body experience.”
The game will feature the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Truck Series and ARCA. It’ll also include career, quick race and championship season modes, as well as a 40-player multiplayer mode.
It’ll be the first console game made by iRacing.
“I think the game’s gonna be really exciting,” Byron said. “I had a chance to play some of the gameplay over the last couple months, and I’m looking forward to it. iRacing has done a lot of work with it.”
