Many of college football’s best teams are lining up for a shot at class of 2028 wide receiver Brysen Wright out of Jacksonville, Florida.
With three more years of high school, he’s already received offers from the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Florida State Seminoles, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Miami Hurricanes and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Seeing so many teams interested isn’t a major surprise, as Rivals Industry Rankings place Wright as a four-star recruit, the No. 1 wide receiver, the No. 2 player in Florida and the No. 2 player in the nation.
Last year, as a freshman at Mandarin High School, he racked up 31 receptions, 646 yards and eight touchdowns.
Wright Predicted to Stay In-State with ACC Program
He still has plenty of time before making a decision, but on Tuesday, in an article from Rivals, John Garcia Jr. predicts Wright will commit to Florida State
“Wright has often mentioned Florida State as a dream program,” Garcia wrote. “The Seminoles offered last offseason and communication has shifted just as the coaching staff has under Mike Norvell on offense.”
It would be a big win for the Seminoles and Norvell, as they look to continue their recruiting success after a very impressive 2026 class, which ranks No. 15 in the nation and No. 3 in the ACC.
Other Wide Receivers Florida State is Making a Run At
Even if Wright decides to pass on Florida State, the recruiting staff is keeping tabs on several other coveted wide receivers in the 2028 class.
That includes extending offers to four-star Eric McFarland (No. 3 WR), four-star Braylon Clark (No. 5 WR), Tyree Mannings (No. 8 WR), four-star Derrell Hines Jr. (No. 13 WR) and four-star Roye Oliver (No. 14 WR).
It’s a very strong talent pool that Florida State is hoping to be one of the first programs to tap into.
