NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – Two members of the Mount Aloysius men’s volleyball team were selected to the all-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference teams.
Matthew Franz was voted onto the first team, and Andrew Wlodarczyk was named to the second team.
Franz became the only player in program history to be named to the first team. The 2025 season saw the senior finish second in the AMCC with 284 total kills and third with 3.16 kills per set. Franz also had the ninth-best hitting percentage, pairing that with the fourth-most attack attempts. He also was one of the best service players in the conference, ranking second in aces and third in aces per set.
Wlodarczyk has been a staple in the Mounties lineup for the past four years. Wlodarczyk finished closely behind Franz in fourth place in the AMCC in both total kills and kills per set, while ranking third overall in total attack attempts. He was also ranked seventh in the AMCC with a .206 hitting percentage.
The Mounties qualified for the AMCC Tournament for the first time in 2025. They were the fourth-place team, ultimately falling to Buffalo State in the semifinals.
Mount Aloysius finished the season 9-17 overall, tying the program record for wins in a season during coach Jillian Glover’s first season. The Mounties will look to continue the upward trajectory of the program in 2026, which just completed its fourth full season.
