Broncos sign Zach Allen to 4-year, $102M contract extension

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a four-year, $102 million contract extension (with $69.5 million guaranteed) with 27-year-old defensive lineman Zach Allen, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Allen (6-5, 285 pounds) originally entered the league as a third-round pick out of Boston College with the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After four years in Arizona, Allen hit free agency in 2023 and signed a three-year, $45.75 million with the Broncos.

Allen made an instant impact in Denver, recording 60 tackles, 24 quarterback hits, five sacks, one forced fumble and one pass breakup in 17 starts in 2023. He then had a breakout season last fall, earning second-team All-Pro recognition after totaling 61 tackles, 40 QB hits, 8.5 sacks, one safety and one pass breakup in 16 starts.

Entering his seventh season in the NFL, the veteran defensive lineman has now been rewarded with a big extension following his impressive 2024 campaign. The Broncos will hope to see similar production from Allen in 2025 and beyond.
