Terry McLaurin received a significant honor on Friday, one day after the Washington Commanders wide receiver requested a trade. The NFL revealed on Friday that McLaurin is No. 52 on its Top 100 list for 2025.

It’s quite a jump for McLaurin, who was No. 97 last season. McLaurin is coming off a season where he caught 82 passes for 1,096 yards and scored a career-high 13 touchdowns. The Commanders made the playoffs for only the second time in McLaurin’s seven-year career, and he scored three more touchdowns in Washington’s surprise run to the NFC championship.
McLaurin is entering the final season of a contract extension he signed in 2022. He is currently at odds with the Commanders over a new deal, with the two sides reportedly far apart, and he demanded a trade. McLaurin skipped Phase 3 of Washington’s voluntary OTAs and last month’s mandatory minicamp. He did not report to training camp with the rest of the team last week and was fined $50K for each day he missed. McLaurin reported on Sunday and the Commanders immediately placed him on the PUP list with an ankle injury.
In six NFL seasons, McLaurin has caught 460 passes for 6,379 yards and 38 touchdowns.
