How did Arch Manning look in Longhorns his first fall practice? Check out the Social Video

The Arch Manning era has begun. Manning hit the field today with the rest of the Texas Longhorns for the first practice of the fall. It is Manning’s first full fall practice as the starting quarterback. He got all of the first team reps. For the past two years, Manning has been the backup to Quinn Ewers, who is having success in Dolphins training camp.

Manning had a good day of practice. The Louisiana native showed off pinpoint precision and a strong arm on deep balls throughout the session. He had the type of day someone with such big expectations should have. Manning was so solid, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian didn’t receive a single question about his new QB after practice. But Sark liked what he saw from the team.

“I thought overall it was a good first day. I thought that they were intentional with their approach. It was obviously a warm day and they fought through. Naturally, as practice goes on, fatigue sets in and that’s where we’ve got to tap in more to the mental intensity, the mental focus, the mental toughness that’s needed when fatigue sets in.” – Steve Sarkisian after first practice of fall camp

Here’s a look at some of Manning’s highlights from practice:
