It’s never good when you have to cover tragic news, especially when it comes to a young person. On Sunday morning multiple sources are reporting that former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy was found dead in his home. Lacy was only 24 years old.
Lacy was working hard to prepare for the 2025 NFL draft despite serious felony charges hanging over his head. Lacy was accused of causing a crash that killed a 78-year-old man on Dec. 17 and then fleeing the scene. He was being charged with negligent homicide for the incident.
According to multiple reports, the official police report indicates the cause of death was suicide. We won’t speculate on if the accident in December players a role and for now we just mourn the loss of a talented young man who spent three seasons at LSU and was actively training and preparing for the upcoming draft. Our hearts go out to his friends and family during this time.
Former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy was found dead Saturday night in Houston, an LSU official confirmed to ESPN on Sunday. Lacy played three seasons at LSU after starting his career at Louisiana.
