Jets 2025 Prediction Includes Another Sub-.500 Record

Jets 2025 Prediction Includes Another Sub-.500 Record originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The New York Jets’ 2024 season was a forgettable one.

Head coach Robert Saleh was fired in October after a 2-3 start, general manager Joe Douglas was let go in November with the team 3-8, and interim coach Phil Savage ended the year on a 2-4 kick.

The final result was a 5-12 mark and a third-place finish in the AFC East.

It was also another year watching the postseason from home with no rooting interest for Jets fans.

It’s now been 14 years since New York last made the playoffs, with a 24-19 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC title game in January 2011 at Heinz Field.

But the Johnsons have made sweeping changes on the staff and on the roster. Is 2025 the season that the Jets finally break through again?

PFSN revealed predictions for every NFL team’s 2025 season, and things might still be bleak for the Jets.

New York Jets 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.8-9.2
  • Playoff Probability: 27.8%
  • Divisional Probability: 3.3%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.3%

“The New York Jets haven’t finished with a record above .500 since 2015,” PFSN wrote. “While our Playoff Predictor doesn’t see them reaching that mark in 2025, it does have them getting close now that Aaron Glenn is their new head coach. There are building blocks on both sides of the ball of the Jets’ roster. Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, Quincy Williams, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall give them some star power.

“Much depends on the performance of Justin Fields as a quarterback, who has shown incredible flashes but lacked the consistency to stick as a franchise QB anywhere.”
