Matthew Stafford’s Change in His Physical Appearance Before NFL Season is Catching Attention originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Following a whirlwind of trade rumors after the 2024 season, the Los Angeles Rams were able to bring back Matthew Stafford for another Super Bowl push.
The Rams and Stafford were able to restructure his contract to a two-year deal worth $84 million in March, after the team allowed Stafford’s agent to shop him on the market to gauge his value. The 37-year-old is heading into his 17th NFL season, and his fifth with the Rams, whom he led to a Super Bowl title in 2022.
Despite being on the older side of the quarterbacks in the NFL, Stafford still has juice in his arm. And, following a Thursday post by the NFL, fans have begun to notice how young he still looks.

“Year 17 and he still built like a guy who grills shirtless, crushes Busch Light, and throws for 350 in a loss. Respect, Stafford,” wrote another.
“Bro looks younger,” said a second.
“Bro looks younger than me im so sick,” joked a third.
“Can I look even a tenth as good as Matt Stafford when I’m almost 40🙏,” asked another.
Stafford is coming off of a season that saw him throw for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns to just eight picks.
He and the Rams also came about as close as it gets to beating the Super Bowl Champion Eagles in the NFC Divisional Round.
With the addition of All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams and the defense expected to be stout, the Rams have a chance to make a run. According to FanDuel, the Rams have the sixth-best odds to win the Super Bowl (+1700).
If Stafford can continue to play at an elite level, he may have a chance to notch a second ring.
