Jul. 14—WAVERLY — The Bemidji American Legion softball team took home three wins in as many games from the Waverly Days Tournament on Sunday.
The Titans beat Howard Lake 6-1, Waconia 5-1 and La Crescent 4-1, each in five innings.
Against Howard Lake, Kenley Anderson and Brooklyn Nord each hit doubles. Anderson was 2 for 2 with a pair of RBIS, while Nord went 1 for 2. Jillian Pulkrabek went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Aleah Shogren threw all five innings, allowing just one earned run on four hits with eight strikeouts and a walk. Pulkrabek pitched all five innings against Waconia, surrendering one unearned run, two hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
Jess Anderson went 3 for 3 at the plate wth three singles. Pulkrabek and Kenley Anderson each doubled in the win. Pulkrabek also doubled twice against La Crescent in a 2 for 3 day. Kayleigh Lory recorded Bemidji’s other two hits in the 4-1 win.
Swedberg shut the door for the Titans in the circle. She allowed one run on three hits with six strikeouts in five innings.
