Jannik Sinner Sends Message to Parents Johann and Siglinde after Wimbledon Win

Jannik Sinner capped a breakthrough grass‑court season by claiming his first Wimbledon title, defeating two‑time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in a four‑set final, 4–6, 6–4, 6–4, 6–4.

Five weeks after succumbing to Alcaraz in a five‑set thriller at Roland Garros, the 23‑year‑old Italian reversed that result on Centre Court. His comeback not only avenged the Paris defeat but also ended Alcaraz’s unbeaten streak in Grand Slam finals.

Beyond the personal revenge, Sinner’s triumph marked a historic milestone. He became the first Italian man ever to lift the Gentlemen’s Singles trophy in Wimbledon’s 148‑year history. It was his fourth Grand Slam crown and a defining statement of his reign as world No. 1.

In the immediate aftermath, Sinner turned his attention to the unwavering support that fueled his journey, sending an emotional message to his parents, Johann and Siglinde.

“It feels emotional because only me and the people who are close to me know exactly what we have been through on and off the court, and it has been everything except easy.” Sinner said on Sunday.

“We’ve tried to push every practice session, even I was struggling at times mentally.”

“To share this moment with my family here, my whole family here, it’s the most amazing thing that could have happened to me, no? In Paris, it was only my mom, and it was still an amazing feeling,” he continued.

“Here, my dad and my brother and my mom too and the whole team, not only from my coaches’ perspective, but everyone who works for me has been here. It has been, yeah, an amazing feeling.” he added.
