Bravehearts 10, Westfield 5: Jackson Marshall went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and clouted his eighth home run of the summer for host Worcester, which broke away with five runs in the eighth inning toward its fifth straight win.
Teammate Will Kraemer also had three hits, and Davis Kahn pitched shutout ball for the eighth and ninth innings to pick up the victory.
At 27-10, the Bravehearts moved to a four-game lead in the FCBL over the Vermont Lake Monsters (24-15). The loss for the Starfires (8-30) was their 10th straight.
American Legion
Leominster 8, Northborough 2: Mark Garner and Brendan Mariani delivered RBI doubles, and Sawyer Corbin drove in two runs for host Post 151 (14-7, 11-5 District 4) in its first of two games at McLaughlin Park.
Garner finished with three doubles, and Cam Cirone was 2 for 3 and scored twice.
Jake Notaro struck out six in 6⅔ innings for Leominster, which led, 8-0, after six innings, then Corbin fanned Conor Secrist to end the game.
Grady Bishop and Nick Klein knocked in seventh-inning runs for Northborough (10-9, 10-9), and teammate Jeremy Krendel went 2 for 3.
Framingham 11, Leominster 4: Post 151 scored four runs in the first inning, but visiting Framingham (4-11, 4-11) tallied the next 11 in a three-inning span at McLaughlin.
Connor Hammond was 2 for 3 with a double, 2 walks, 2 runs and three RBIs for Post 117.
Liam Bridgham and Danny Nelson drove in runs for Leominster (14-8, 11-6).
Northbridge 10, Main South 9: Antonio D’Alfonso scored on an outfield error with one out in the ninth inning to lift host Post 343 (7-9, 7-9) to a walk-off victory at Blackstone Valley Tech. Northbridge tallied two runs in the seventh to force extra innings.
Northbridge leadoff hitter Matt Coughlin reached five times in six plate appearances, going 3 for 3 with a double and two walks, and drove in two runs. Teammates Mason Diosomito and Keondre Gaines each had two hits.
Chase Eggen went 4 for 4 with a triple and two runs for Main South (5-12-1, 5-12-1).
Milford 8, Hudson 0: Josh Giancola and Daniel Heisler combined on a three-hitter with six strikeouts as host Post 59 (19-1, 17-0) rolled at Fino Field.
Brayden Lewis went 4 for 4 with a home run, four runs and four RBIs, with Nick Pedroli and Keith Lee each collecting two hits.
Marshal Kehlhem (double), Anthony Moura and Jackson Healy had the hits for Hudson (10-9, 9-9).
Senior Babe Ruth
PNJ 1, Milford (Conn.) 0: Joe Amaru, who hurled for Sturbridge during the regular season, fired a perfect game to lift the Paul N. Johnson All-Stars to the New England Regional winners’ bracket final in Newtown, Connecticut.
PNJ faces a team to be determined at 10 a.m. July 13, with a second game for the title following, if necessary.
