Reigning UEFA Champions League champions Paris Saint-Germain entered the FIFA Club World Cup as favorites, and they cruised into the Finals following a decisive 4-0 win over Real Madrid. Premier League side Chelsea, meanwhile, will be looking for an upset against the Parisian favorites after securing a finals spot by beating Brazilian club Fluminense 2-0.

In addition to the match, the Club World Cup will feature a star-studded halftime show, with performances by Doja Cat, Tems, and J Balvin. FIFA and Global Citizen organize the performance, and the stage will be placed above the stands, rather than on the pitch, to protect the field.
MetLife Stadium is home to the New York Giants and the New York Jets and has an 82,500-seat capacity, making it one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. PSG and Real Madrid played before a packed stadium, despite the Club World Cup having difficulty selling tickets earlier in the tournament.

The current format of the FIFA Club World Cup features 32 teams from around the world, representing various leagues, including the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, and MLS.
The 32 leagues competed in group stages, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the round of 16, the quarterfinals, the semifinals, and the finals.
