The first Steeler has cracked the NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 list — and it’s none other than veteran DT Cameron Heyward.
Heading into his 15th season, Heyward was selected as the 83rd-best player in 2025 — up 15 spots from his selection at No. 98 last year.

Heyward’s 2025 ranking still doesn’t do his play justice, as he seemingly reversed the hands of father time last season, accumulating eight sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 20 QB hits — leading to his fourth First-Team All-Pro selection.
Even at 36 years old, Heyward is one-of-one at the defensive tackle position in the NFL — but it’s his wisdom and veteran experience that will be invaluable to the development of two Steelers rookies: first-round DT Derrick Harmon and fifth-round DT Yahya Black.
Heyward isn’t looking to simply pass the torch in 2025 — he has Super Bowl aspirations alongside what’s shaping up to be an incredibly stacked Steelers roster.
