The Cleveland Browns are bringing in more Ohio State Buckeyes for 2025 NFL draft visits as cornerback Jordan Hancock has made the trip up I-71 North.
According to Browns defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr.’s Instagram account, Hancock is in Berea for a pre-draft visit with the Browns. The defensive back is one of many prospects to visit Cleveland recently, as the Browns are currently doing their due diligence while the NFL Draft quickly approaches. He posted a picture of his former Buckeye teammate touring Cleveland’s locker room when they were both in the Browns’ facility.
In his first season as a full-time starter for the national championship-contending Buckeyes, Hancock posted a solid 75.6 overall PFF grade in 2024, with a coverage grade of 76.2 and 48 combined tackles. This impressive showing came after he led the 2023 Ohio State defense in interceptions despite starting just seven games as their nickel corner.
The Browns are hosting several prospects for their wide range of picks in the NFL Draft. After some top quarterback prospects visited Cleveland, the Browns shifted their focus to overlooked talent they could acquire later in the NFL Draft. Hancock would be seen as a Day 2 or possibly Day 3 acquisition for Cleveland. After being one of the top recruits in Ohio State’s 2021 recruiting class, Hancock is viewed as a low-risk, high-reward pick for an NFL franchise.
We’ll see who else the Browns may be doing their due diligence on before the final weekend of April.
