WWE ‘Raw’ Live Results: ‘Evolution 2025’ Looms, Seth Rollins Continues Quest for Power originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
With the holidays now behind us, it’s time for Monday’s episode of WWE “Raw.”
The stars of the red brand will make one final push before the WWE “Evolution” PLE, which will be taking place on Sunday. WWE Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley are expected to appear before their title match. Sky was the one who issued the challenge despite being the top female titleholder on “Monday Night Raw.”
One half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Roxanne Perez, will also be featured on Sunday’s PLE. She’ll team with her fellow Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez in a title defense against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair and two teams to be determined. As for Monday, Perez will go toe-to-toe with Kairi Sane.
We’ll also see former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso go one-on-one with Bronson Reed, who is a member of a Paul Heyman-led faction that includes Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. Uso’s former Bloodline member Sami Zayn will share the ring with Breakker.

As for Rollins, the MITB briefcase holder has some business to settle with Penta. Rollins is none too pleased that the Mexican star foiled his plan to cash in during the John Cena vs. CM Punk match at “Night of Champions.” Penta continues to fight alongside Uso, Zayn, and Punk against Rollins’ stable. Rollins and Penta will be in singles action.

WWE “Raw” will air live on the Netflix streaming service at 8 p.m. ET. Athlon Sports will be providing live coverage of the show.

Breakker grabbed a mic, much to the chagrin of Rollins. Breakker said he’s aligned with Heyman and Rollins because they have a vision to make him the face of WWE for the next 20 years. He then said he envisions a WWE without Zayn.
Breakker said Zayn’s expiration date is tonight. Rollins asked Breakker if he was good before handing the mic over to Reed. Reed vowed to beat the respect into Uso, just as he once did to Rollins.

Heyman then grabbed the mic and said if Zayn hasn’t left the arena by now, then what happens to him later will be his fault. He then claims Roman Reigns doesn’t have the guts to step up to his new faction. Heyman had a message for Penta in Spanish and promised that he won’t be able to make hand signals anymore once Rollins is done with him.

Dominik Mysterio Gets Surprising Gift
The Judgment Day were backstage, and Raquel Rodriguez questioned Roxanne Perez gifting Dominik Mysterio a picture of Liv Morgan. Mysterio thanked Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for giving him a cake, but neither of them bought it for him. It was revealed that Styles was the one who gifted the “get well soon” cake.

Roxanne Perez w/Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kairi Sane
Perez took down Sane by pulling her hair. Sane had a jackknife pin combination, but Perez got out of it. Sane went for a Figure Four headscissors, but Perez reached the bottom rope. Sane dropped her opponent with a spinning backfist, followed by a forearm.
Sane then leaped off the apron for another forearm. Rodriguez distracted Sane, allowing Perez to shove her opponent off the top rope. Perez then stomped on the wrist of Sane.
Sane hit Perez in the corner but couldn’t land a high-risk move. Perez got in her own version of The Sacrifice. Sane went for an Alabama Slam, but Perez countered it by driving the injured arm of her opponent to the mat.
Sane landed a headbutt and scored a forearm off the top turnbuckle. Perez was caught in the Alabama Slam. Sane went for the Insane Elbow, but Rodriguez pulled Perez out of the ring. Sane took out Rodriguez with a crossbody.
Back in the ring, Sane countered Pop Rocks with a backslide for the win.
Winner: Kairi Sane
After the match, Rodriguez and Perez ambushed Sane. Asuka made the save by fighting off the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Rodriguez went for the Tejana Bomb, but Sane and Asuka sent her out of the ring. Sane and Asuka then hit a reverse DDT into an Insane Elbow on Perez.

Sami Zayn Has A Lot on His Mind
Sami Zayn was interviewed backstage. Zayn admitted he has too much on his plate with Heyman’s faction, his rib injuries, and Karrion Kross. When Zayn walked off, Scarlett appeared and said she had nothing to say.
Adam Pearce Makes ‘Evolution’ Announcements
Ivy Nile and American Made were in Adam Pearce’s office. They weren’t pleased with El Grande Americano scheduled for an appearance amid Chad Gable’s injury. Nile was then added to the battle royal match at “Evolution.”
Asuka and Kairi Sane then walked in. They demanded to face The Judgment Day again. Pearce announced that Asuka and Sane are the final team in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match on Sunday.

Nikki Bella Wants Gold One More Time
A vignette revealed that Nikki Bella will compete in the battle royal on Sunday. She made it clear that her plan is to win the battle royal, which would earn her a world title match at “Clash in Paris.”
Karrion Kross Attacks Sami Zayn Again
Sami Zayn was making his entrance for a one-on-one match with Bron Breakker, but Karrion Kross attacked him. Kross attacked Zayn with a pipe, just as he did last week. Security intervened before the ambush could get worse.

Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker w/Paul Heyman
Before the match began, Adam Pearce asked Sami Zayn to let him call off the match. Zayn refused to back out of the match.

Breakker immediately drove his shoulder into the injured ribs of his opponent. He then sent Zayn crashing onto his knees, ribs-first. Breakker measured Zayn for the spear, but he ate a clothesline. Zayn went high-risk, but Breakker planted him with a spear.

Zayn rolled to the outside, but Breakker followed him and delivered a second spear. Back in the ring, Breakker pulled his straps down and connected with a third spear for the victory.

Condolences for The New Day’s Title Reign
As Adam Pearce was speaking to The War Raiders, The New Day walked in. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were “mourning” their tag team title loss. Becky Lynch walked in and sent her condolences to The New Day.

Becky Lynch Complains About ‘Evolution’ Match
Becky Lynch was out, and she questioned why two “losers” will get a chance to challenge her for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at “Evolution.” Lynch said she’s already beaten Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. She questioned why she didn’t get a chance to pick her own opponent.
Bayley marched down, but Valkyria stormed past her and entered the ring. Valkyria said it’s time she took her title back. Bayley said if “WrestleMania” taught her anything, it’s that she doesn’t need friends.
Valkyria made it clear to Bayley that she didn’t call Lynch to attack her prior to “WrestleMania.” Valkyria said she’ll be saving the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship from “two disappointments.” Bayley then hurled an expletive at Valkyria before things broke down between all three women.
Valkyria ended up planting both Bayley and Lynch with Nightwing.

Sami Zayn Is Out Indefinitely
Seth Rollins questioned what’s wrong with Bron Breakker. Rollins told Breakker not to worry about people saying he couldn’t handle Zayn alone. Heyman then walked in and he revealed Zayn is out indefinitely. Rollins then fired up Reed, who has business to settle with Jey Uso.

Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed
Uso got in some offense and hit a suicide dive on Reed. He went for another, but Reed threw an announce chair at his head. This led to a disqualification.
Winner via DQ: Jey Uso
After the match, Reed hit two Tsunamis on Uso. Adam Pearce and WWE officials stopped any further assault.

LA Knight Sends Message to Seth Rollins
A vignette LA Knight played. He said that while he can’t take the MITB briefcase from Rollins, he plans to use it as a weapon against him. He vowed to shut Rollins up at “Saturday Night’s Main Event.”
