After the transaction was announced, the Suns made sure to show their appreciation to Durant with a short and simple message.

“Thank you, KD,” the Suns wrote, along with an edited graphic showing multiple photos of the superstar.

Kevin Durant finished his Suns career with averages of 26.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.2 blocks in 145 regular season games through three seasons.

The All-Star forward arrived in Phoenix in 2023 after the Nets traded him for a plethora of unprotected first-round draft picks, as well as Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder.

The blockbuster trade comes after the Suns failed to make the playoffs last season despite boasting a Big 3 of Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Despite having KD for the past three seasons, the team never advanced to the conference finals.
