The Seattle Sounders and Columbus Crew played out an entertaining scored draw in the Pacific Northwest Sunday afternoon.
Scorers: Rothrock 43′ ; Rossi 27′
It was a rematch of the 2020 MLS Cup final in Seattle Sunday afternoon, but the two historic MLS sides finished locked in a stalemate.
After Diego Rossi snatched the lead for the visitors before the half-hour mark, Seattle responded well to reclaim parity through Paul Rothrock.
Paul. Rothrock.

The hosts were put under a bit of pressure in stoppage-time after Kalani Kossa-Rienzi was sent off for a second yellow-card offense, but Seattle held on in the dying minutes to keep ahold of the point.
There was a scary moment in the final seconds of the match however, as Seattle keeper Stefan Frei suffered a major head injury after seeming to collide with a Columbus Crew player, and the match was called off a minute early as a result.
The only #Sounders FT thought is for Stefan Frei. In the final minutes of stoppage time, he took a knee to the head on a corner kick. An ambulance came onto the pitch and drove him to the hospital.
Let’s just hope all is well for Frei and wish him a speedy recovery. pic.twitter.com/96Bl6OSO3t
