How Oregon Ducks' 2026 recruiting class ranks nationally by average commit rating

The 2026 recruiting cycle may have gotten off to a slow start for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks, but the heat has been turned on over the past month, and things are cooking in Eugene.

With four commitments in the past week alone, the Ducks have skyrocketed up the national recruiting rankings. Since the start of June, Oregon has added the likes of 5-star safety Jett Washington, 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho,4-star WR Messiah Hampton, 4-star OL Tommy Tofi, 4-star S Devin Jackson, 4-star QB Bryson Beaver, and 3-star OL Koloi Keli. They also went from ranking outside of the top 30 in the national rankings to jumping inside the top 10.

That ranking could continue to improve over the next few days, as well, with more blue-chip prospects set to come off the board with Oregon favored as a landing spot.

What makes Oregon’s ranking even more impressive is that it has achieved such a mark with a relatively low number of commitments. For instance, the Ducks rank No. 10 with 14 commitments, while Notre Dame, for example, ranks No. 5 with 23 commitments. This showcases Oregon’s “quality over quantity” approach to the 2026 class, where they aim to add elite players to an already talented roster, rather than filling in for depth.

If you’re looking for a good way to see how good the Ducks’ 2026 class is, you can compare their “average rating per commit” to the rest of the nation and see how much quality is in the class. Rather than having 10 3-stars weighing the class down like USC, Oregon’s class is made up mostly of blue-chip players.

So let’s examine how things look if you take quantity out of the mix, and look just at the quality. Here’s a look at the top 25 to start:
