In what’s almost become an annual tradition here online, Carolina Panthers fans have been clamoring for and concocting new uniform designs for their team.
Some, in addition or in place of the silver and/or black helmet colors, have hoped for a white cap.
Some have hoped for an update to the jerseys—perhaps a number change, or a claw mark or two.
And some have even hoped for simpler concepts, like designating the team’s alternate all-black uniforms as a default look at home games.
Well, it doesn’t appear as though we’ll be getting any of that—at least this season.
According to Andrew Lind of SportsLogos.net, six NFL teams are expected to unveil new helmet and uniform designs in the coming weeks. Those squads, along with the reported dates of their reveals, are as follows:
- Washington Commanders: July 9 (Alternate)
- Los Angeles Chargers: July 15 (Alternate)
- Cleveland Browns: July 16 (Alternate)
- Pittsburgh Steelers: July 21 (Throwback)
- New Orleans Saints: July 22 (Alternate)
- Green Bay Packers: July 23 (Throwback)
Per Lind, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks are also set to reveal new white road versions of their throwback uniforms.
Sorry, Panthers fans—you’ll just have to keep waiting.
