Angel Reese made WNBA history in the Chicago Sky’s 92-85 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.
The six-foot-three forward became the first player with 15 or more rebounds in four straight games. She pulled down 16 boards to go along with a season-high 24 points on 10 of 19 shooting from the field. Reese added seven assists and two blocks to her stat line.
The Sky were down heading into the fourth quarter until Reese took control down low. She scored two of the four final points of the third frame, then tallied six straight points in the fourth to give her team the lead for good.
Reese came into the contest with three straight double-doubles, eclipsing a season-high 19 rebounds against Atlanta last week. She is averaging 12.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game in her second season of professional basketball.
The Sky, led by Reese and former LSU women’s basketball guard Hailey Van Lith, is 5-11 in 2025. They rank fourth in the Eastern Conference, two spots behind Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
Reese and Clark face off next on July 27 inside Chicago’s United Center. The Sky’s next game is against the WNBA’s top team in the Minnesota Lynx, on July 6.
