Dolphins send Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith to Steelers in blockbuster trade

Huge trade in NFL circles on Monday with the Miami Dolphins sending Pro Bowl DB Jalen Ramsey and TE Jonnu Smith to the Pitttsburgh Steelers for DB Minkah Fitzpatrick and a late-round pick.

Ramsey, a three-time Pro Bowler, is on to his fourth team. He started with the Jacksonville Jaguars, moved to the Rams, then the Dolphins, and now the Steelers.

Fitzpatrick started his career with Miami, playing 2018 and part of 2019 with the Dolphins. He is a five-time Pro Bowler.

Smith had a great season in 2024 with Miami, his lone year as a Dolphin. He had 88 catches for 884 yards and eight touchdowns. The Steelers are his fifth NFL team. He previously played for the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, and Miami.

The Dolphins and Steelers play on Dec. 15 in a Monday Night Football game.
