Caitlin Clark is headed to the 2025 All-Star Game in her second season in the WNBA.

The league announced that Clark has been named the All-Star Game captain for the Eastern Conference, by virtue of being the one of the All-Star starters who received the most fan votes.

She will be making her second All-Star game appearance, having been honored as a WNBA All-Star game starter last season, alongside several other league stars such as DeWanna Bonner and Jonquel Jones. 

After being named as the All-Star game captain, Clark received the nickname, “Captain Clark.” 

“Everybody talking about Captain Caitlin Clark,” posted the official social media account of the Indiana Fever. 

After the news about Caitlin Clark becoming the WNBA All-Star Game captain surfaced online, some fans took to social media, sharing their thoughts on the announcement. 

“Captain Clark has a nice ring to it,” said one fan

“Captain Clark,” said another fan

“Team Captain Caitlin Clark yeaaaaa,” mentioned one fan

“Captain Clark with her #1 draft pick,” said one fan

“Can i sign up to be a cheerleader for Team Clark and miss Captain Clark,” said another fan.

In her second season with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark has posted 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. 

While Clark has missed seven games for the Fever, currently on the sideline with a groin injury, she leads Indiana in points and assists when healthy. 

Clark will have a chance to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Minnesota Lynx, and will be set to face Napheesa Collier, the Western Conference WNBA All-Star Game captain.
