NFL Offensive Lineman Dominates Former UFC Champion in Blocking Drill During Crossover

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is known to be ruthless while training with non-mma fighters, at least during sparring.

He has a history of fighting influencers, who for the record have called him out in an attempt to gain followers or views, but the Las Vegas native never holds back. In February 2024, he sparred “Sneako” at the UFC Performance Institute, delivering a relentless beatdown that left Sneako bloodied and hurt.

Sneako, who is untrained in professional combat, tried to stand his ground, however, he essentially could do nothing to phase Strickland. Last July, Strickland faced off against former Navy SEAL Mitch Aguilar, who does have amateur mma experience, but he was overwhelmed.

Strickland’s superior technique and pressure was clear, though Aguilar proved his toughness. Most recently, TikTok influencer Nick Nayersina challenged Strickland to a sparring match in April of this year.

While looking at Strickland’s previous history, Nayersina should’ve known. For as long as it lasted, it was extremely brutal for Nayersina as he was battered with punches, elbows, and even head kicks.

Although Nayersina displayed visible toughness similar to Aguilar, video evidence shows he posed no threat to Strickland.

During the latest Strickland crossover, he attempted to get by NFL offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt like an NFL pass rusher would at the UFC Performance Institute.

For the first time, at least in the public eye, Strickland was unsuccessful during one of these challenges. While it’s not the same as sparring someone with not much combat experience, Strickland was no match for the current Arizona Cardinal.

Froholdt, who plays center, was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft after playing college football at Arkansas.

He began playing football in his native Denmark for the Svendborg Admirals. Froholdt played his sophomore season at Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio before returning to Denmark where he joined the U-19 youth team of the Søllerød Gold Diggers.

He then attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for his senior year of high school. Since becoming a professional, he’s played for the Patriots, Cardinals, Houston Texans, and Cleveland Browns.
