With free agency beginning in the NBA on Monday at 6 p.m. EDT, the Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to get everything in order to be ready for when the time comes. On Sunday, the day before free agency, there were some player and team option deadlines to hit.
The Sixers declined the team options for Jared Butler and Lonnie Walker IV while Andre Drummond and Kelly Oubre Jr. opted into their player options for the 2025-26 season. The final player with an option was Eric Gordon.
Gordon will decline his $3.4 million player option to enter free agency. A return to the Sixers is a possibility after he shot 40.9% from deep in 39 games while averaging 6.8 points per game. His season ended after undergoing wrist surgery during the season.

One has to believe the Sixers will bring Gordon back on a different deal. He and rookie VJ Edgecombe have a good relationship from their time playing together on the national team for The Bahamas.
