“T-Wrecks” is known for his knockout finishes – but not this time.
On the UFC 317 prelims, Terrance McKinney submitted Viacheslav Borshchev in 55 seconds at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
McKinney (17-7 MMA, 7-4 UFC) immediately resorted to his wresting roots and dragged the fight to the ground. Once there, McKinney immediately countered Borshchev’s attempt to scramble upward with a guillotine choke – and quickly got the tap.
With the win, McKinney has won back-to-back fights with first-round finishes.
Borshchev (8-6-1 MMA, 3-5-1 UFC) has lost back-to-back fights and three of his most recent four.
