The Chicago Sky have struggled as a team this season, now sitting just 4-11 after falling to the Golden State Valkyries on Friday. That said, the play of Angel Reese has been strong. The second-year forward turned in another big time performance on Friday night, finishing the game with 17 points and 18 rebounds to go along with two assists in 34 minutes of action.

Reese is making a strong bid for a second straight WNBA All-Star appearance. The former LSU forward made the All-Star team as a rookie, and has been posting numbers worthy of making it again in year two. 

While the team has been unable to find consistency under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh, the strong individual seasons from different players have been notable, including Reese. Entering Friday, Reese was averaging 11.3 points and 11.9 rebounds, and these averages went up with her big game against Golden State.

In fact, Reese’s recent play has been historic. A stat emerged on X from Polymarket Hoops, formerly StatMamba, that revealed the second-year forward has made WNBA history by becoming the first player ever with her collection of stats in a two-game span.

The Sky will be back in action on Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks. Chicago was able to get one of its four wins this season against LA, and will be looking to do so again. With Reese in good form, the team hopes to now start coupling that with some tallies in the win column.
