Alabama Recruiting Stays Hot With Another 4-Star Commit originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
A great recruiting week for the Alabama Crimson Tide got even better on Thursday night.
After securing three commitments since June 23, they got a fourth one on Thursday evening when four-star tight end Mack Sutter committed to the Tide. It came a little over an hour after they got a commitment from four-star running back Ezavier Crowell.
Sutter goes to Dunlap High School in Illinois and is the top-ranked recruit in his home state, per 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the sixth-best tight end recruit in the nation and the No. 80 overall recruit.
At the time of Crowell’s commitment, the Tide had the No. 20 recruiting class in the country, but thanks to Sutter jumping in the boat, they now have the No. 11 class.
The Tide got another recruit in the boat last Sunday (June 22) when three-star defensive lineman JJ Finch shut down his recruitment. They are on a roll and will try to keep riding the momentum for the rest of June and into July.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer is going into his second season as head coach after leading the Tide to a 9-4 record last season. He wants them to get back to winning double-digit games and the College Football Playoff after they failed to do both in 2024.
They will open the 2025 college football season on the road against the Florida State Seminoles on August 30. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET.
