Summer is here, and it is everyone’s favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Vikings fans, but also give them an idea of names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Minnesota.

Player Summary

Desmond Reid is one of the more undersized players of any position across the board in the college football landscape. That being said, it makes him the most underappreciated player in college football heading into 2025. He has a complete skillset of a dual-threat running back, just on a small frame. He protects the ball as well as anyone, and this allows him to be trusted by his coaches and his quarterback. The Pittsburgh offense is a must-watch in 2025, and while all eyes will be on quarterback Eli Holstein, don’t overlook Reid.
