The 2025 NBA draft is over and the Philadelphia 76ers have walked away with two solid prospects. They selected Baylor star VJ Edgecombe with the No. 3 overall pick in Round 1 on Wednesday before selecting Auburn star Johni Broome with the No. 35 overall in Round 2 on Thursday.
Now that the draft is over, the Sixers are looking for some undrafted gems. They have hit on some in the past with the additions of Ricky Council IV in 2023 and Justin Edwards in 2024 who were signed to two-way deals before earning standard contracts.
The Sixers will look to strike again in 2025 as they will reportedly sign undrafted Wake Forest guard Hunter Sallis to a two-way deal. Sallis averaged 18.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists along with 1.2 steals in the 2024-25 season with the Demon Deacons. He only shot 27.7% from deep which is a steep drop off from the 40.5% he shot in the 2023-24 season so that is interesting, but it could be chalked up to just a down year.
Wake Forest’s Hunter Sallis has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell ESPN.

Sallis will likely spend the 2025-26 season playing in the G League with the team’s affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. It will give him an opportunity to play and continue to develop for the next level.
