The Florida Gators appear poised for a strong season if everything falls into place, with a roster full of potential stars that could propel the team toward the College Football Playoffs in 2025.

Stars like quarterback DJ Lagway, Eugene Wilson III, and Tyreak Sapp are all known, and big things are expected. However, 247Sports has identified three Florida players who could break out in 2025. Matt Zenitz dropped 25 SEC players that have not been talked about enough, with linebacker Myles Graham, edge LJ McCray, and wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant as the three Gators Zenitz expects big things from.

Sturdivant transferred from the UCLA Bruins this offseason, having previously played for the California Golden Bears. He put up good numbers during the last three seasons, and Billy Napier will hope he offers the same as the two previous transfers from out west, Elijhah Badger and Ricky Pearsall.

Graham seemed like an obvious choice, contributing as a true freshman in 2024. He will see plenty more game time in 2025, and he could take the leap to be a game-changer for Napier. Another sophomore who had a productive season as a true freshman is McCray, who is also a great pick to break out for the Gators.

The Florida Gators are one of several teams in the SEC that are predicted to be fighting for a college playoff spot. They will need several players to play beyond their abilities alongside the most talented players to reach their best. Their schedule is demanding, but the roster looks solid for Billy Napier in 2025.
