Top 2026 offensive lineman Charlie Thom commits to Notre Dame

The Notre Dame football recruiting train just keeps on rolling.

Class of 2026 Avon Old Farms (Avon, CT) offensive lineman Charlie Thom has committed to the Fighting Irish on Tuesday afternoon, giving Marcus Freeman, Joe Rudolph and Co. a sixth offensive lineman in this class.

The pledge comes just seven days after ND offered Thom following a strong camp performance. He made the decision to commit to the Irish following his official visit this past weekend.

Thom, a 6-foot-6, 275-pounder, will move to the trenches this season after playing tight end to start his prep career. He had offers from a plethora of programs, including Michigan State, Penn State and Stanford. Thom is ranked as the No. 852 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.

Notre Dame’s 2026 class now sits at 21 commitments, and the Irish aren’t done yet.
