Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree faced off for the first time ahead of their light heavyweight clash at UFC on ABC 8.
Former UFC champion Hill (12-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) meets Rountree (13-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC) in Saturday’s main event (ABC, ESPN, ESPN+) at Crystal Palace Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Both fighters are coming off recent stoppage losses to former UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Check out their cordial faceoff, which took place Tuesday morning in Baku.
After getting knocked out by Pereira at UFC 300, Hill finds himself on his first-career losing skid after suffering a TKO loss to Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 in January. Meanwhile, Rountree hasn’t competed since getting finished in a bloody, back-and-forth battle against Pereira at UFC 307 last October.
