Friends will fight in the octagon when Rose Namajunas takes on Miranda Maverick. This UFC women’s flyweight bout scheduled for three rounds is taking place Saturday, June 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Namajunas (13-7 MMA, 11-6 UFC) and Maverick (15-5 MMA, 8-3 UFC) have been friends and former training partners in Colorado, so their level of familiarity with each other should be high.

Namajunas lost her division debut to Manon Fiorot and most recently dropped a unanimous decision to Erin Blanchfield last November.

Maverick, 27, will enter on a roll, having won four fights in a row since July 2023. A win over Namajunas would undoubtedly be the biggest win of her career.
