A target Michigan State football has been in constant and consistent pursuit of is now off the board. Omaha (NE) running back Nelsyn Wheeler has announced that he will no longer be taking his official visit to Michigan State.
Wheeler was scheduled to make it to campus on June 13, but he is now anticipated to make his commitment to Illinois, ending the Spartans pursuit.
Wheeler is an 85-rated 3-star running back that is 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, known to be more of a specialty scat back with his speed and shiftiness.
With this news, it appears that all of the Spartans running back targets are now off of the board. With Damon Ferguson committing to Pitt and Kory Amachree committing to Kansas, the Spartans are needing to reset what they have at the position.
Within the reset, the Spartans have extended an offer to Jamal Rule, a 3-star from North Carolina. There will still be additional running backs that are getting scouted.
I will no longer be taking my OV to Michigan state this weekend.
