Colin Cowherd: Vikings will be a 'very good fourth place team'

Colin Cowherd seems to be enamored with the Minnesota Vikings at this point, and it is only May.

Last week, the Fox Sports radio host discussed the Minnesota Vikings when he talked about their new starting quarterback, J.J. McCarthy. He discussed how he saw a “fourth place finish. . .I am all in on the Lions winning it and the Bears winning a Wild Card spot. . .Minnesota could win eight games with J.J. and be a really good team, but they are not pulling off last year’s win total. That is the easiest team to predict a pullback of their win total.” As we now fast forward a week, Cowherd presented his post-NFL Draft playoff predictions.

When Cowherd reached the NFC North, he did not change his fourth-place prediction for the team: “The Vikings will be a very good fourth-place team.”

Could the Vikings be a fourth-place team? Sure, but it isn’t likely. The Bears have re-tooled, just as they did last offseason, but they need to show they can put things together. The same goes for the Packers. They finally gave Jordan Love some major help on offense, but they have some questions about critical positions. That then brings us to the Lions, who are obviously loaded across the board and a team everyone is chasing.

The Vikings have a complete roster, more often than not those types don’t tend to finish in last of their division.
