The New York Jets are ready to hit the field for 2025 NFL training camp. The team will do so with a 90-man roster.
Of course quarterback Justin Fields is going to have eyes on him. Aside from him, who else are players worth watching as the team gears up for another season?
Here are five players to watch for during 2025 training camp:
WR Josh Reynolds
Even before Garrett Wilson signed his extension, it was clear he was the No. 1 receiver for the Jets.
However, he can’t do it all on his own. Wilson needs help in the receiving room.
Reynolds joined the team this offseason. During minicamp, he was considered the wideout that stepped up the most. Can Reynolds continue that and earn a No. 2 starting spot across from Wilson on the Jets offense?
DE Jermaine Johnson
Johnson has started his 2025 season on the PUP list. Even so, it’s anticipated that he will return from his Achilles injury he sustained early last year. Can Johnson feel well enough to produce right away upon his return?
OL Armand Membou
The Jets drafted Membou to hopefully form the league’s most ascending duo at tackle. The No. 7 overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft immediately steps into the starting lineup. The Jets’ offensive line has top-five potential if Membou hits the ground running.
But that is not a guarantee. The coaching staff will want to see if from Membou as much as possible during training camp.
DT Derrick Nnadi
Quinnen Williams will lead the line from the middle of the Jets defense. Who will be there next to him? Nnadi and Bryron Cowart appear to be the early leading candidates. Nnadi might have the edge based on the experience he has compared to Cowart.
CB Brandon Stephens
Like Wilson, Sauce Gardner signed his extension and resumes his role as a starter on the outside heading into the 2025 season. Furthermore, there is a void across from Gardner too.
For the past few years it has been Gardner and DJ Reed holding down the outside cornerback positions for the Jets. Stephens was signed to fill the big shoes left behind by Reeed, who departed as a free agent.
