Nearly the entire tight end room for the New York Giants will further their education in the position this week by learning from some of the best modern players to play the game.
Giants tight ends Theo Johnson, Daniel Bellinger, Chris Manhertz, and Thomas Fidone II are expected to attend “Tight End University,” which is set to begin Monday.
This is the fifth consecutive season the summit has been held, and it’s the fourth consecutive year that Bellinger has attended.

Here’s what the week will entail for the attendees, according to the Tight End University website:
Founded in 2021 by NFL Tight Ends George Kittle, Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen, Tight End University was created to bring the Tight End community together for an immersive three-day program. Over the course of the summit, attendees are able to bond, collaborate with, and learn amongst their peers while participating in a variety of activities including film study, on-field drills, recovery, rehabilitation, and more. In addition to current players, TEU also features several retired legends who provide attendees with the invaluable opportunity to learn from some of the best to ever play the game.
The position was largely untouched by the Giants this offseason. While Fidone was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft out of Nebraska, the return of Johnson, Bellinger, and Manhertz means there are very few vacated snaps from the 2024 campaign.
As Bellinger enters the final year of his rookie contract, he’s expected to take on a complementary role to Johnson, who has a chance to make a big impact as a three-down tight end in the Giants’ offense.
With training camp roughly a month away, this will be a good opportunity for the Giants’ tight ends to learn a thing or two from some of the best players ever to do it at the position.
