2024 recap

Last season, as a redshirt sophomore at Marshall, Green led the FBS in sacks (17.0), tackles for loss (22.5), sack yardage (144), and tackles by a defensive lineman (84).

His 17 sacks established a new Sun Belt Conference record.

2025 outlook

Green was the most productive edge rusher by sacks in college football in 2024. Even Odafe Oweh and Kyle Van Noy established, the Ravens got a player who should contribute off the edge immediately with his burst and violence.

Biggest question: Can Green make an impact as a rookie?

The Ravens got one of the biggest draft steals when they selected Marshall edge rusher Mike Green in the second round at No. 59 overall, and he could be the most impactful pass rusher since Terrell Suggs. In 2024, the Ravens had one of the NFL’s top pass rush units, buoyed by the production of veteran Kyle Van Noy and ascending linebacker Odafe Oweh. With Adisa Isaac, David Ojabo and others underperforming last season, Green will compete with Tavius Robinson for snaps behind Oweh and Van Noy.
