3 trade back packages for the Vikings in the 2025 NFL Draft

We are officially in the home stretch, as we are just one week away from the NFL Draft in Green Bay. Teams have finalized their draft boards, barring any last-minute radical changes. As a result, general managers are now mapping out how things will go for their teams.

In the Vikings‘ case, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and his staff will explore their options at pick 24 when they are on the clock.

Teams do mock drafts, the same as everyone else. This allows them to lay out different ideas of who will be available to them and whether it matches up with what they have on the board. If there is no player they like at that pick, they could explore a trade down.

Here are three trade packages for the Vikings to trade back in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Cleveland Browns

Trade: Vikings send the 24th overall pick to the Browns for the 33rd and 94th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and a 3rd-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Browns may want to make a jump into the first round again if one of the quarterbacks falls past the Steelers after pick 21. The Vikings could still get one of their targets at pick 33 while also adding some much-needed draft capital to their arsenal.

New York Giants

Trade: Vikings send the 24th overall pick and a 6th-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Giants for the 34th, 65th, and 154th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Giants, much like the Browns, need to address the quarterback position. The draft spot they own in round two also allows them to be able to get someone who they could also get at 24. The primary need for a trade back is for the Vikings to get extra picks, getting them for 2025 and 2026 in this situation doesn’t hurt.

New York Jets

Trade: Vikings send the 24th and a 6th-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Jets for the 42nd, 73rd, 186th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and a 3rd-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

This may seem like too far of a trade down for the Vikings, but it comes with more of a reward as a result. This Vikings roster is very close to being in contention for a Super Bowl. They can afford a deeper trade back than most teams. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has shown he can play chess when others play checkers, this could be another example.
