2026 OL Caleb Jacobs enjoys West Virginia big man stop

Ironton (Oh.) 2026 offensive lineman Caleb Jacobs came to West Virginia to compete in the big man camp and left a positive impression on the coaching staff.

Jacobs, 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, traveled with his team for the 7-on-7 passing tournament but was able to showcase what he could do in front of the coaching staff at the big man event.

“I had a really good time at the camp. I got to learn from their coaches and it enabled me to get better and enhance my talents,” he said.

The 2026 prospect was able to work with offensive line coach Jack Bicknell during the event and speak with him afterwards, along with head coach Rich Rodriguez.

“They gave me feedback of slight tweaks to my form, which helped me out a lot. They were impressed by my ability and my feet,” he said.

The rising senior also had the opportunity to tour the facilities and see how he would fit into the program and he liked what he saw on both fronts.

“The environment was incredible. Gave that tight close family feel,” he said.

The Mountaineers like Jacobs at one of the interior offensive line spots and after the camp he was able to speak with the coaching staff about his recruitment and what they saw out of him on the field.

Jacobs has already visited Michigan State, Western Michigan, Coastal Carolina, and Miami (Oh.) as well but said that he would definitely be interested in coming back to Morgantown.

“If an opportunity would show, I would definitely go back to West Virginia,” he said.

Jacobs currently holds offers from Kent State, Gardner-Webb and Pikeville and he wants to find a school that has the right educational opportunities as well as where he fits in on and off the field.
