2026 NFL mock draft: Rams take a QB with one of two first-rounders

Yes, we’re already looking at the 2026 NFL Draft.

In a little less than 365 days, the Los Angeles Rams will once again be making draft selections in preparation for the 2027 season.

The Rams currently have two first round picks thanks to their first-round trade with the Atlanta Falcons, meaning they could add two first-round player or use the picks as trade chips (either to move up to to acquire a veteran). For now, let’s assume the Rams stick with their two picks and add two first-round players.

Most experts believe the Rams will add a quarterback in the first round of the draft considering Matthew Stafford’s age and contract fluidity. However, the experts are split on if the Rams will use their second pick on a cornerback, offensive linemen or linebacker — three current positions of need heading into the 2025 season.

Here are some 2026 mock drafts for the Rams.

USA Today Sports’ Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz

No. 14 (from Atlanta Falcons): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

“Patience could pay off for Los Angeles, as the Rams can reap the rewards of this year’s trade back with the Falcons by landing a player who could reshape their secondary. The jump from Oregon State to Tennessee didn’t prove to be too much for McCoy to handle, as the 6-0, 193-pounder snared four interceptions and earned second-team All-American honors after locking down the Southeastern Conference. His placement here could be precarious after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in January, but if he’s able to bounce back and return to action, he would have a strong case to be the first cornerback selected next year.”

No. 30: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

“Maybe this seems like a stretch for a team that reached an accord with Matthew Stafford this offseason and now is operating at least somewhat on the veteran’s timeline. But even though Sellers is far from a finished product as a passer, the 6-3, 242-pound dual-threat option offers immensely tantalizing growth potential that could be harnessed if he is allowed to sit and learn behind Stafford before ascending to the top spot.”

DraftWire’s Curt Popejoy

No. 19 (from Falcons): Peter Woods, DT, Clemson

No. 20: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

247 Sports’ Brad Crawford

No. 14 (from Falcons): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

No. 30: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

CBS Sports’ Blake Brockermeyer

No. 12 (from Falcons): Caleb Banks, DT, Florida

“Banks is a massive player with great length who excels in both phases. He got to the quarterback seven times last year and had another 22 hurries with a blend of power and quickness as well as excellent hand swipes. He needs to improve as a run-stuffer but his skill at getting after the quarterback is a boon. Atlanta traded this pick to Los Angeles on Thursday.”

No. 27: Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson

“The Matthew Stafford era in LA can’t go on forever, though they’ll give it another big run this fall. Even if Los Angeles picks a QB in the next few rounds, which it should, I can see Sean McVay going for some nice long-term security here in Klubnik, who came on like gangbusters to end the 2024 season. McVay would make things easy for Klubnik, a dual-threat who thrives when under duress and has gotten much better at taking care of the football. Klubnik has a great winning pedigree going back to high school.”

Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings

No. 10 (from Falcons): LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

“The Matthew Stafford trade was a success for the Rams. Sean McVay won his Super Bowl, and the Rams have been competitive ever since Stafford entered their doors. But Stafford is 37 years old and will be a free agent in 2027. The future is coming faster than it seems.

“In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Rams could choose to pick an uncommon talent like LaNorris Sellers, and let him sit for a couple of years before taking the reins. At 6’3″, 240 pounds, Sellers is a truly special sack avoider with a strong and angle-flexible arm, and age-defying discretion as a decision maker.”

No. 24: Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

“Rob Havenstein has been an iron man for the Los Angeles Rams at right tackle, but he’s well into his mid-30s, and his contract will be up in 2026. The Rams have to think about a succession plan soon, and in the early days of the 2026 cycle, Blake Miller stands out.

“If Miller declares in 2026, he’ll be a four-year starter with over 50 collegiate starts. From his experience, he’s gleaned an inspiring level of operational consistency, and yet, he’s a rangy athlete at 6’6″, 315 pounds, with some of the best pulling and space blocking ability in the 2026 class.”

The Draft Network’s Keith Sanchez

No. 10 (from Falcons): Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

No. 24: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

The Score’s Dane Belbeck

No. 12 (from Falcons): Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas

“Hill might be the most versatile player in the draft, capable of covering sideline-to-sideline or rushing the passer. The Longhorns star posted eight sacks and 17 tackles for loss last season – outrageous numbers for a player who predominantly plays inside linebacker.”

No. 21: Charles Jagusah, OT, Notre Dame

“If the Rams finally stick around and actually make a pick in the opening round, they are likely going to be interested in Jagusah at No. 21. The versatile Notre Dame lineman can play guard and tackle and is an absolute terror in the run game.”

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley

No. 10 (from Falcons): LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

No. 24: Austin Barber, OT, Florida
