The Buffalo Bills welcomed James Cook to St. John Fisher as the team begins their 2025 NFL training camp journey.
While that was anticipated, the offseason journey Cook has taken never made that a certainty.
Cook has an ongoing contract dispute with the Bills. He wants to get paid and his been vocal about that with his voice and actions by skipping out on all voluntary workouts during the spring.
Cook has mentioned even getting paid up to as much as $15 million per season by Buffalo, but the Bills front office has yet to make that happen.
Even so, Buffalo has expressed confidence in Cook throughout the past few months and stated the expectation for Cook has always been that he will show up to training camp and feature in games next season… which appears to be the case with the Pro Bowler showing up to the first day of camp on Wednesday.
Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott made note of that via video conference once again during Day 1 of camp as well.
“He’s ready to go,” McDermott said.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout training camp.
