2025 NFL draft: What time are the New York Giants expected to pick?

The New York Giants have eight picks entering the 2025 NFL draft, including No. 3 overall on Thursday night in Green Bay.

What the Giants intend to do with that pick is unclear. Most believe they will select Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, but there remains a possibility that they select Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter if the Cleveland Browns pass on him, or Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

There is also a possibility that general manager Joe Schoen will trade down.

The decision will ultimately be made on Night 1 of the three-day event, which begins at 8:00 p.m. EDT. There is a 10-minute time limit for each pick during the first round, which begins with the Tennessee Titans, who are expected to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell traditionally addresses the crowd before officially putting the first team on the clock, which slightly delays the start of the draft. With that in mind, the Giants will likely come up to the plate around 8:25 p.m. EDT.

Taking all of that into consideration, it’s fair to assume the Giants will announce their first-round pick somewhere between 8:25 and 8:34 p.m. EDT.
