2025 NFL draft: RAS scores for new Patriots rookie class

The New England Patriots ran up their 2025 NFL draft dart throws by selecting 11 rookies on the board. It was a necesarry haul for a team that had too many holes to count when entering the draft.

While the team is far from a finished product, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and lead personnel executive Eliot Wolf deserve a pat on the back for at least raising the floor of the talent level. The rookie acquisitions, combined with a strong free agency, has created a team that looks like it could be competitive and win multiple football games on paper.

Their success will depend heavily on the rookies acclimating themselves to the NFL level and performing right out of the gate. Fortunately, the Patriots drafted a talented, athletic rookie class to tilt the odds in their favor.

RAS is a formula created by Kent Lee Platte that generates a score for a prospect’s athleticism on a 0-10 scale. It measures a player’s athletic testing to their size, while taking history into account. Each prospect is matched up and measured by others throughout history at the same position.
