The second day of the 2025 NFL draft is soon approaching.
After selecting cornerback Maxwell Hairston with their top pick at No. 30 overall, the Buffalo Bills enter Day 2 of the event with two selections at No. 56 and 62 in the second round.
What could the Bills do next?
Here is Bills Wire’s Day 2 mock draft:
Round 2, pick 56: DT TJ Sanders, South Carolina
Staying on defense, the Bills need an interior defender on the line. Sanders is a player the Bills had a pre-draft visit with and he fits what the team needs.
Ed Oliver will continue to lead the line in the middle for the Bills moving forward. Next to him, the “space eater” is DaQuan Jones currently. However, he’s a veteran and Buffalo could stand to use a younger prospect that’s a long-term partner for Oliver such as Sanders.
NFL.com’s draft profile on Sanders labels his as a “powerful road block” which could fit that mold for Buffalo’s defense.
Round 2, pick 62: WR Jalen Royals, Utah State
The Bills have a couple of receivers already for quarterback Josh Allen, but no one sticks out as a true No. 1 target so another being added makes sense. Royals also had a pre-draft visit in Buffalo so there is interest.
In 32 career games, Royals had 126 catches for 1,914 yards and an impressive 21 touchdowns.
While Royals put up the points and can get yards after the catch, the six-foot wideout does not have top-end speed. Can the Bills make that work in the NFL?
