The Detroit Tigers will have the opportunity to add to their prospect pool this weekend as the 2025 MLB Draft begins Sunday, July 13th with the first three rounds. It concludes Monday, July 14th, with rounds 4-20.
The Tigers have picks Nos. 24, 34, 62 and 98 on Day 1, covering picks in the first round, the Competitive Balance A round, the second round and the third round, respectively.
This will be the Tigers’ third draft under president of baseball operations Scott Harris. Harris was hired away from the San Francisco Giants in 2022 to replace Al Avila after the team struggled to a 66-96 record. Since then, the Tigers made the playoffs for the first time in a decade in 2024 and have the best record in baseball this year.
When is the 2025 MLB Draft?
The 2025 MLB Draft begins Sunday, July 13th at 6 p.m.. Day 2 of the draft begins at 11:3- a.m. Monday, July 14th.
Where can I watch the MLB Draft?
The first three rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft will all be streamed on MLB Network. ESPN will cover the first round as well as the supplemental draft picks following it (through pick No. 43), but will not broadcast the second or third round. Both can be streamed on Fubo, which has a 7-day free trial.
After the first 43 picks, MLB Network will simulcast its broadcast on MLB.com, where you can watch the remainder of the first three rounds for free.
Rounds 4-20 on Monday will all be streamed for free on MLB.com.

What picks do the Tigers have on the first day?
The Tigers have pick No. 24 in the first round, pick No. 34 overall in the Competitive Balance A round, pick No. 62 overall in the second round and pick No. 98 overall in the third round.
